Ozone FAI VAA 4Si V1
Refined hull, streamlined deck, raised cockpitThe FAI 4si is the next evolution of the FAI 3X. The hull was streamlined. The cockpit rails were raised to make the paddler more secure and keep a drier cockpit. The deck was lowered and streamlined as well: gone are iako risers and cavities that might alter fluid pathlines.
MeasurementsLength Beam
Standard model for customization, Pro model for weightThe FAI 4si comes in two versions: Standard and Pro. Standard FAI 4si allow more freedom for personalization while Pros are made as light as possible.
STANDARDIn designing a Standard FAI 4si you can choose from 16 colors for the hull, ama, and logos in any combination you'd like. And you can add customizations, like a deck-hull split, a colored cockpit, graphics from our catalog, or ones of your own.
Standard FAI 4si also come with fitted dust covers for the hull, ama, and iakos

PRO
FAI 4si Pros are lighter than Standards by an average of 1.7lbs | 0.77kg. The layups are essentially the same - almost all of the weight reduction comes from limiting the amount of paint used and sanding what there down to a thin layer. This gives Pro models a distinctive sanded-through look. Because of this, FAI 4si Pro hulls can only be 5 colors (Pro Green, Pro Yellow, Pro Grey, Pro White, and Pro Blue) and hull customization options are limited to coloring the cockpit and logos. However, the ama can be any color and, unlike standard models, so can the iakos
FAI 4si Pros also come with thicker, UV-resistant fitted marine canvas covers for protection from long-term outdoor exposure.

Adjustable foot brace and seatBoth the foot brace and seat can be adjusted, accommodating paddlers from 4' (120cm) to 7' (215cm). Both can be moved on the fly, allowing paddlers of dramatically different heights - like parents and kids - to share a canoe. And paddlers can change the balance of their canoe by moving both forward or back, to adapt to conditions. Plus, the seat is solid EVA foam, making it comfortable even on long paddles.
Redesigned amaThe ama was completely redesigned. The tail has more rocker to avoid digging in and dragging. The bottom is more rounded to decrease surface area. And it has more volume to avoid swamping.
Easy rig iako systemThe iako rigging system is completely new. It is snap-in like the FAI 3Xsi but there are no external push pin holes. Instead, you twist the iako to adjust or remove it. That mean no fiddling with hard-to-press pins, and you can remove a iako with just one hand.
Adaptable rigging upgradePaddlers can upgrade their FAI 4si to have receivers on both sides. This is great for left side dragon-boat paddlers looking to train solo as well as those who prefer stability on the left. The right side iakos rig just inside of the left so the ama is in the same position
Outriggerzone constructionThe FAI 4si is the preeminent one-piece, or monocoque, V1. Outriggerzone canoes like the FAI 4si are unique in being built as a single, seamless piece, reducing weight and eliminating weak points like glue lines.
The FAI 4si is also special among V1s in being made with prepreg carbon fiber, which has high-tempature-curing resin impregnated into it. This allows us to carefully control the weight added by resin, eliminate dilutents, and deliver a canoe that doesn't deform over time.
